Iowa Grant
There is a wonderful thing about a grant! Unlike student loans, and even some scholarships, they never need to be repaid. This particular grant is designated for use at 2 or 4-year colleges and universities in state, and if you are a high school senior living here, you may apply. You must also be able to demonstrate your need for financial assistance. In order to do this, please complete the free FAFSA on line at www.fafsa.ed.gov. Grant amounts may be adjusted for part-time students. The process works like this -- the state gives grant allocations to the colleges and universities, and they, in turn, award grants to the students with the greatest financial need. For more information, contact the Iowa College Student Aid Commission, or check the website www.iowacollegeaid.gov.
